Candle Care
Our candles are made from pure coconut wax. We use coreless, flat-braided wicks with a specially developed paper filament. The result is a much cleaner burn, controlled curvature, and a warmer, more efficient flame.
Give your candle that little bit of extra attention by following these candle care tips.

Before burning
Always ensure the wick is approximately 5mm long. - Trim the wick before each use.
This prevents uneven or (too) fast burning and ensures a stable flame that can increase the scent distribution.
Make sure you place the candle in a safe place.
Do not place it too close to objects that could be flammable, such as books, furniture, curtains, etc.
Do not place the candle near a heat source.
Keep the candle out of reach of children and pets.
Make sure the candle is clean before lighting.
During burning
Never burn a candle for more than 4 hours at a time, as this may cause overheating.
Never let your candle burn all the way down. Stop when there's about 10mm of wax left in the glass.
Ensure a burn of at least 2 hours so that the top layer of the candle is melted, this prevents the candle from tunneling.
Always burn your candle on a stable and heat-resistant surface, avoid draughts and keep an eye on children and pets.

After burning
To extinguish a flame, preferably use a candle snuffer.
Never extinguish a candle by pouring water on the flame.
Make sure the flame is completely out and there is no afterglow before leaving the room.
Do not move the candle until it has cooled completely.
Store candles in a cool, dry, dark place away from direct sunlight.
